Staff Outing to Thanneerbhavi Beach and Extension Activity through Social Interaction

March 26, 2017

The Staff Welfare Association of the college organized Staff Outing and Extension Activity through Social Interaction at Thanneerbhavi Beach, Mangaluru, on March 26, 2017. Thirty five staff members participated in this outing.

The lady members of the Staff Association visited the fisher-women camp and enquired about their daily routine and how they balance work and family life. The fisher-women revealed that their day begins very early and by 11 AM they are back home to cook for their husband and children and take care of their homes. The additional income helps them to fund their children’s education and also to take care of other family expenses.

They also interacted with a woman entrepreneur by name Joyce who runs a tea shop by the beach. She begins her day at 10 AM after seeing off her children to school and then rushes to take care of the shop to provide tea and dosa for the customers.

The day spent at outing was well-spent. It indeed infused better bonding and team spirit amongst the colleagues. The extension activity through social interaction with two women motivated and inspired the staff. It strived to achieve the core value of inculcating value system amongst the staff.
