To provide an exposure to students about practical working environment a batch Final Bsc Students of forty five Chemistry students accompanied by three Lecturers undertook an Industrial Tour to the following Industries on January 28, 2017. With Industrial visits, students were able to better identify their prospective areas of work .
1 . KMF, Kulshekara, Mangaluru : Karnataka milk federation is a company which produces nandini milk and milk products. The students were exposed to the various methods of purification, packing and methods of production of various milk products
2. Everest Plastic Industries, Kulshekara, Mangaluru : It is well known manufacturer of plastic materials. Students gained knowledge about the procedure of manufacturing plastic
3 . Bisleri Water Suppliers, Mulki : It is a well known mineral water company. Here the students gained knowledge about the various methods involved in the purification and production of water along with packing techniques
4 Sequent Pharmaceutical Company, Baikampady, Mangaluru ; It is a leading pharmaceutical company which manufactures various drugs. Here the students were explained in detail about the manufacture of drugs starting from the sample test , analysis of the drug, assigning the expiry date till the final product is manufactured.
Students were more aware of industry practices and regulation during this visit and they were exposed to different work forces from different industries.
