The Dept of Chemistry in association with Indian psychiatric society organized a lecture cum demonstration programme on science vs. superstition in the college seminar hall on 10th August 2013. Dr. K.S.Madhav Rao, a well known psychiatrist of Mangalore, President of Indian psychiatric society and also the president of Pragathipara Vichara Vedike, addressed students and gave a call to eradicate superstitions. He challenged many blind beliefs prevailing in the society through scientific reasoning and demonstration. The programme was highly appreciated by students and staffs
