The Centre for Post Graduate Studies in Computer Applications (M.C.A.), Canara College (Autonomous), Mangaluru, organized a session titled “Research Insights – A Guide for MCA Students” on August 27, 2026, for First-Year M.C.A. students in Lecture Hall 10.

The resource person, Dr. Shashidhar Kini K., Professor, Department of MCA, Canara College (Autonomous), highlighted that research is a fundamental component of higher education, especially in the field of Computer Applications, where technology is constantly advancing and new challenges arise every day.

The session provided students with valuable insights into the significance of research, identification of suitable research problems, formulation of clear objectives, systematic review of existing literature, selection of appropriate research methodologies, and effective presentation of research findings.
