The Centre for PG Studies in Computer Application (MCA), in association with the Training, Internship and Placement Cell, organized a 100-hours certificate course titled “Data Analyst Program for Business Excellence & Innovation” for the First-Year MCA and M.Com. students. The programme was conducted in collaboration with Career Ladder Technologies Ltd. with the objective of strengthening students’ analytical, technical, and industry-relevant skills. The commencement and introductory session of the course was held on February 21, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. During the session, the resource person, Mr. Kiran Rao from CLT, introduced the course structure, training methodology, evaluation methods, and expected learning outcomes. As part of the course assessment, the participants were evaluated through project presentation and analysis conducted on August 18, 2026, and an MCQ-based test on August 22, 2026, enabling assessment of both their practical application and conceptual understanding of data analytics skills.

The MCQ Test, consisting of 50 questions to be completed within one hour, evaluated participants’ knowledge in key areas such as data handling, preprocessing, statistical analysis, data visualization, analytical techniques, and tools. The assessment helped measure their understanding of the concepts covered during the certificate course.

The Project Presentation provided participants with an opportunity to apply their learning to real-world business problems. Participants presented their projects, explaining the problem statement, methodology, data analysis, findings, and conclusions. The activity also enhanced their analytical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.

Overall, the activities effectively assessed the participants’ learning and encouraged the practical application of data analytics for business decision-making, excellence, and innovation.

Mrs. Shailaja Kumary T.G., Assistant Professor, Department of MCA, and Convener of the Training, Internship and Placement Cell, coordinated and monitored the entire course and assessment process, ensuring its smooth and effective conduct. A total of 54 MCA students and 5 M.Com. students participated in this assessment.
