The Training, Internship and Placement Cell of Canara College (Autonomous) organized a session on “Smart Resume Building – Using AI to Outsmart ATS” for the final year BCA students on April 11, 2026 at 11:30 A.M. in Lecture Hall 10. The session was conducted by Mr. Sharan Karanth, Lecturer, Centre for PG Studies in Computer Applications, Canara College (Autonomous).
The session focused on guiding students in creating professional and ATS-friendly resumes using Artificial Intelligence tools and modern resume-building techniques. The resource person explained the importance of Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) in the recruitment process and demonstrated how resumes can be optimized with relevant keywords, formatting, and industry-specific skills to improve visibility during job applications. Students also gained practical insights into AI-powered resume enhancement platforms and current hiring trends in the IT industry. 31 students actively participated in the session.
