TheKannada Department organized Kannada Rajyotsava on 1 November 2025. Mr. Arun Kumar M, Senior Manager of Karnataka Bank, Urva Market Branch, Mangaluru, was the chief guest of the ceremony. In his address, he remembered the visionary who had dreamed of uniting the divided Kannada nation. Our existence is worth it only if there is love for language. Dr. Premalatha V, the principal of our college, presided. Prof. Anila madam, principal of Canara Evening College said that there should be a continuous effort to learn the language and the language can be strengthened by using the mother tongue mainly at home. Mrs.Vani U.S, Head of the Kannada department, administered the oath of allegiance. Meghana introduced and welcomed the guests. Shrinidhi rendered a vote of thanks. The programme was narrated by Vaishnu. Ananya Shetty read out the list of prize winners in the quiz competition.
Kannada songs were sung by the students and office staff, Mr. Dinesh. Shailaja P., Faculty of the Department of Kannada, and teaching and nonteaching staff were present. 70 staff and 30 students were present.
