The Centre for Post Graduate Studies in Computer Applications (MCA), in association with A1 Logics, Mangaluru organized workshop on “CareerFit Interview- Mock Today, Master Tomorrow” on September 04, 2025, from 9:30 A.M. to 1:30 P.M. in Smt. Ratna S. Shenoy Memorial Seminar Hall.
The resource persons for the workshop were Mr. Prashanth B. Shetty, Business Operational Director and Ms. Kavitha, HR Manager from A1 Logics, Mangaluru.
The session emphasized key aspects of interview preparation, including resume building, dress code etiquette, understanding the job role, and structuring responses effectively for frequently asked questions. The speakers also highlighted the importance of attitude, confidence, and professional demeanor during interviews.
As part of the programme, students were also given the task of conducting mock interviews by taking up the roles of both interviewer and interviewee. This experiential exercise enabled them to experience the actual atmosphere of an interview, helping them to understand the challenges, pressures, and expectations of such situations while also gaining valuable insights into both perspectives of the recruitment process.
Dr. Premalatha V., Principal, addressed the gathering and highlighted the importance of career preparedness programmes in enhancing students’ employability skills. She encouraged the participants to make the best use of such opportunities to build confidence, improve communication, and prepare themselves to meet industry expectations.
A total of 41 students from the first-year M.C.A. programme actively participated in the workshop. The session received highly positive feedback from the participants, who appreciated its practical relevance, interactive approach, and engaging delivery.
Mrs. Jayabharathi K. P., Head of the Department of M.C.A., expressed her appreciation to the resource persons by presenting a Letter of Gratitude in the presence of faculty members Mrs. Shailaja Kumri T. G. and Mr. Sharan Karanth. The entire programme was successfully organized by the first-year M.C.A. students, reflecting their commendable teamwork and dedication. The event commenced with an invocation by Ms. Ishwari, followed by a welcome address by Mr. Prameeth. Mr. Prajwal introduced the resource persons, Mr. Tharun proposed the vote of thanks, and Mr. Gautham efficiently compered the programme.
