May 14, 2025

To prepare students for the realities of the modern job market and the growing demand for industry-relevant skills, the Training, Internships, and Placement Cell of the institute organized an insightful seminar titled “Learn Skills Today for a Better Package Tomorrow.” Held on Tuesday, May 06, 2025, at 10:00 AM, the session was facilitated by Tatvam Consulting, Mangaluru, for final-year B.Com. and BBA students. The seminar focused on the importance of skill acquisition, practical learning, and career-oriented guidance and certifications that can lead to improved employment opportunities and better compensation packages.

The resource person from Tatvam Consulting shed light on the current employment landscape and the increasing preference among employers for candidates equipped with both technical and soft skills. Through a series of interactive discussions and real-world examples, the speaker emphasized how gaining additional certifications, hands-on experience, and exposure to industry-relevant tools can significantly enhance a student’s employability and earning potential. The session also highlighted key skill areas such as digital marketing, data analytics, communication, and problem-solving – all crucial for succeeding in a competitive job market.

Additionally, the seminar also provided valuable career advice and guidance to help students make informed decisions about their professional paths. The resource person also encouraged students to assess their individual strengths, interests, and long-term goals when exploring career opportunities. The speaker highlighted the importance of choosing roles and industries that align with one’s aptitude and values rather than following trends blindly. Students were advised to remain open to learning, seek mentorship, and be proactive in identifying opportunities that offer both growth and job satisfaction. The session served as a motivational guide, helping students gain clarity on how to strategically navigate their career journey right from the beginning.

The TIP Coordinator Mr. Hardik P. Chauhan introduced the Key Speaker and the accompanying team from Tatvam Consulting, Mangaluru, and also proposed the vote of thanks, appreciating their efforts in sharing valuable insights and motivating students with a renewed sense of direction and purpose. A total of 235 students were benefitted from this seminar. This programme strived to promote the core value of fostering the global competency among the students.
