‘Best out of Waste’ model making activity was conducted for the students of the Nature Club on March 19, 2025 in the college Botany Laboratory. Students had to submit their innovative designs which they created using biodegradable waste materials only. Students showcased their creativity, skills and art through various craft items from waste materials that they prepared. All the members of the Club participated in the activity.
The three ‘Rs’ stand for: Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. They are a part of the waste hierarchy which is used to protect the environment and conserve resources through a priority approach. The aim is to get maximum practical benefits from products and to generate the minimum amount of waste. The ‘Best out of Waste’ simply means to make or to create innovative and attractive things from the material we do not use anymore.17 students participated in this activity.
