The seminar featured Dr. Ashalatha P., Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science at Govinda Dasa College, Surathkal, Mangalore, as the resource person. Dr. Ashalatha delivered an enlightening lecture on the universal and natural essence of human rights. She stressed that these rights form the foundation of human development and must be safeguarded to maintain dignity and equality in society.
She highlighted concerns over rising human rights violations in the country, emphasizing the role of civil society in addressing these issues. Dr. Ashalatha also called for active cooperation between the general public and law enforcement agencies to control and prevent such violations effectively.
