Training Session on “Standout Strategies for Crafting Resumes and Acing Interviews”

In line with its commitment to enhancing students’ employability and preparing them for real-world recruitment scenarios, the Training, Internships, and Placement (TIP) Cell of the institute organized a practical and insightful training session titled “Standout Strategies for Crafting Resumes and Acing Interviews” on Wednesday, April 09, 2025 at 2:30 P.M. in the College Seminar Hall.

The session was aimed at equipping and empowering students with essential tools and techniques to present themselves confidently and professionally during placement drives and job interviews. It focused on two critical aspects of career preparation : resume building and interview skills – both of which play a pivotal role in the placement process.

The session was facilitated by Mr. Karrthik Alva, Founder of Thrust Academy, Mangaluru, and an experienced Corporate Grooming Coach known for mentoring students and young professionals in career readiness and personality development.

Mr. Karthik Alva shared practical strategies for showcasing one’s strengths with confidence, communicating effectively, and tailoring personal profiles to align with job expectations. He also covered topics such as professional grooming, body language, and commonly faced interview challenges, offering actionable tips through live demonstrations, mock scenarios, and interactive discussions

The session concluded with an encouraging note from Mr. Alva, urging students to begin their career preparation early, remain authentic, and continually invest in upskilling. His motivational approach and relatable insights were greatly appreciated by all attendees. Students actively participated throughout the session, engaging with the trainer and seeking guidance on both resume building and interview techniques.

The programme was compered by Ms. Nidhisha, a student of III BBA, who also extended a warm welcome to the gathering. Ms. Greeshma, also from III BBA, introduced the trainer. The session was graced by Mrs. Seema Prabhu S., Head, Department of Business Administration, Mrs. Pushpalatha, Convener, Career Guidance Cell, and Ms. Bhavana, Faculty of the Department. The session concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mr. Hardik P. Chauhan, TIP Coordinator, who expressed sincere appreciation to the trainer for delivering a highly engaging and enriching session. A total of 76 students attended this training programme. This programme strived to promote the core values of fostering the global competency, and promoting the use of technology among the students.
