The Centre for Postgraduate Studies in Computer Applications (M.C.A.) organized a session on “Image Processing for Project-Roadmap” for the Second-year MCA students on January 04, 2025, at 9:30 A.M. in Computer Science Lab 2. Mr. Jithesh K., Lecturer, Department of Computer Science & Applications, Canara College, Mangaluru was the Resource Person.
Mr. Jithesh K. explained a worked-out project on Image Processing, showcasing the models and Python coding techniques involved. He also briefed the students on various projects in this domain, suggesting potential topics for both mini projects and final projects. He suggested that students explore research papers and familiarize themselves with the availability of research papers on various websites. He also recommended downloading datasets from platforms like Kaggle and GitHub. Additionally, he listed several potential project topics under the domain of Image Processing. During the session, a few models of Machine Learning and Deep Learning were also discussed.
Mrs. Shailaja Kumary T.G., Assistant Professor, Department of M.C.A., welcomed the Resource Person. Mrs. Jayabharathi K.P., Head of the Department of M.C.A., presented the Letter of Gratitude to Mr. Jithesh. The entire session was organized by the Second-year M.C.A. students. A total of 34 students engaged interactively in this programme. This activity strived to foster global competencies and elicit quest for excellence among the students.
