The Powerlifting Competition for both Men and Women was organized at the college Multi Gym to promote strength, fitness, and sportsmanship among students.
The Men’s section of the competition was held on March 10, 2026 from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM. A total of 19 participants actively competed in different weight categories, showcasing their strength and determination. In the below 60 kg category, Keerthan Akshay of III BCA D secured the first place, followed by Shashank Mallya of III BCA D in second place, while Tejas Nagaraj Shetty secured the third place. In the above 60 kg category, Thanish P. Puthran of III BCA C won the first place, followed by Kshithij Bangera of II BCom B in second place, while Sree Raag R, I BCom A secured the third place. In the above 70 kg category, Takshil, II BCom A secured the first place, followed by P. Tejas of III BCA D in second place, and Muzafar Alam of III BSc secured the third place.
The Women’s section of the competition was held on March 11, 2026 from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM at the Multi Gym. A total of 15 participants took part in the competition. In the below 50 kg category, Shrinidhi R. Shetty of III BSc secured the first place, followed by Ashvetha of III BSc in second place, while Sanmitha of I BCA A secured the third place. In the above 50 kg category, Ananya N.K. of II BCom A secured the first place, followed by Mahalaxmi Pavan, III BCom B in second place, while Yuthika J. Karkera of III BSc secured the third place.
The event was conducted smoothly under the guidance of the Physical Education Directors, Mr. Avinash, and Mr. Karthik. The competition concluded successfully, encouraging students to develop strength, discipline, and interest in fitness activities.
