An educational initiative was organized by the IT Association students of II BCA ‘C’ – Krithika, Bhoomika, Aishwarya ,II BCA ‘B’ – Shibha, Siya, Shwethika; and I BCA ‘A’ – Pavithra, who conducted an Extension Activity on “Social Media Awareness” on January 31, 2026, at S.A.T H.S Manjeshwar.
The programme commenced with a welcome address by Bhoomika, who introduced the topic and highlighted the importance of social media awareness among students.
The detailed explanation on social media awareness was delivered by Shwethika and Pavithra who elaborated on the advantages and disadvantages of social media, along with guidelines for safe and responsible usage. The session helped students understand the impact of social media on personal, academic, and social life.
To make the session more engaging, Krithika, Shibha, and Aishwarya conducted quizzes and interactive games related to social media awareness. These activities encouraged active participation and enhanced students’ understanding of the topic.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Siya, who expressed gratitude to the school authorities, teachers, and students for their cooperation and participation. A total of 7 students actively participated in conducting the programme.The extension activity was informative, interactive, and well received by the school students.
- Students gained awareness about the positive and negative impacts of social media and understood the importance of safe and responsible online behaviour.
- The session enhanced digital literacy, promoted ethical use of social media, and encouraged students to use technology in a constructive and mindful manner.
