The NSS volunteers of the college actively participated in a Botanical Garden Cleanliness Drive conducted over two days on December 3 and 4, 2025, from 8:30 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. each day. The drive was carried out under the guidance and supervision of Mrs. Sushama C. and Mrs. Smitha M.
The volunteers were divided into small groups and assigned specific areas of the Botanical Garden. The activities undertaken included the removal of weeds, clearing of dry leaves, uprooting unwanted plants, and collecting litter from garden pathways and plant beds. Special care was taken to avoid any damage to medicinal and ornamental plants during the cleaning process.
The collected biodegradable waste, such as dry leaves and plant debris, was properly segregated for eco-friendly disposal, thereby reinforcing good waste management practices. Throughout the drive, the Programme Officers motivated the volunteers, ensured effective coordination, and emphasized the importance of safety and teamwork.
The volunteers worked with enthusiasm and responsibility, demonstrating a strong commitment to environmental protection and campus upkeep.
A total of 44 volunteers participated on December 3, while 34 volunteers took part on December 4, 2025. Altogether, 78 volunteers participated in the activity.
