The Department of Physics organized a Quiz Competition for I semester BSc students on November 7, 2025 at physics laboratory to commemorate the 158th Birth Anniversary of Madam Marie Curie. The event aimed to encourage scientific learning, honour her achievements, and develop curiosity among young learners.
The program began with a short introduction to Marie Curie’s life and contributions to science by Dr. Asha Kiran Pakkala, Head, Department of Physics. Students were divided into teams and quiz rounds were conducted, based on Marie Curie’s life, nuclear physics and radioactivity. The questions tested scientific knowledge, logical reasoning, and awareness of discoveries related to nuclear physics. 34 students participated in this competition.
