“COMMFIESTA 2023” An Intercollegiate PU Level Commerce and Management Fest

Commerce and Management Association organised an intercollegiate PU level Commerce and Management fest – “Commfiesta 2023” on November 29, 2023 at 9:30am. The inauguration of the programme held in the College Seminar Hall began with the rendition of prayer by Ms. Shravya Bhaktha and team (III B.Com A) followed by the welcoming of the Chief Guest by Ms. Bhoomika Prabhu. Ms. Trupthi N. Vyas, Student Convener gave an insight into the fest to the august gathering. Later, the customary lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries marked the formal commencement of the programme.

Mrs. Mamatha Bhandari, Mental Health Professional and Consultant, Canara Group of Institutions, Mangaluru, speaking as the Chief Guest and also the inaugurator of ‘Commfiesta 2023” asserted, “Your academic certificate is just like a pizza base which needs to be decorated with tasty toppings of your own choice and those toppings would be your skills acquired through hard work, perseverance and varied experiences,”

Addressing the participants from different colleges, she added, “For budding young talents, on the threshold of entering a professional course, such fests are akin to manures that supplement the much-needed nutrients enabling participants to come out with exuberant colours.”

Mrs. Dejamma A., HOD, Commerce and Management, advised the participants, “Have courage to accept ones mistakes and develop the willingness to rectify it.” Furthermore, she said, “Dig within yourself and explore your capabilities.”

Dr. Premalatha V., in her presidential address, urged the participants to believe in themselves.

The valedictory of “Commfiesta 2023” began at 4.30pm in the College Seminar Hall. The Chief Guest CA Nagabhushan Pai, Founder of 36th Chamber, CA Coaching Classes, reminiscing his college days said, “College life is the golden phase of life that provides plethora of opportunities to students. Participation in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities adds true flavours to life, as it aids in the smooth transition from rote learning to creative learning; and moreover, it equips students with set of skills essential in this competitive world.”

60 students from 10 different PU colleges participated in Commfiesta 2023 and 69 students from Commerce and Management Association took active part in organising COMMFIESTA. Staff Convenors Mrs. Usha Nayak and Mrs. Ashalatha coordinated the entire programme.
