“Cleanliness is next to Godliness.”
It is the moral duty of each individual to keep themselves, their homes, their school, their workplace and their surroundings clean. Cleanliness gives rise to a good character by keeping body, mind, and soul clean and peaceful. The NSS Units of Canara College organized a campus cleaning campaign on November 29, 2023 to educate and promote civic sense among the students.
The NSS Volunteers made the college campus and the parking area litter-free by collecting plastic garbage from every nook and corner of the college premises. They sincerely carried out the mantra- Cleanliness is the way to be healthy, wealthy and wise- and emphasized to make the campus clean. Through this campaign they realized the importance of maintaining cleanliness and hygiene. A group of 16 NSS Volunteers undertook the cleaning activity under the guidance of the NSS Programme Officers Mrs. Seema Prabhu S. and Mrs. M. Keerthana Bhat.
