“A special talk on challenges of Human Rights in the present scenario”

August 3, 2022

The concept of human rights is universal. It’s not only confined to the people of a particular nation but to the people all over the world irrespective of their nationality, religion, race etc. Human rights have been violated in and around the country due to violence against women, children, minorities, aboriginals etc.

The programme was jointly organized by the “Human Rights Cell” in association with “The Rovers and Rangers” and “Youth Red Cross” on August 03, 2022 at Smt. Ratna S Shenoy memorial seminar hall. 61 students of “The rovers and rangers” and “Youth Red Cross” actively participated in the programme. Professor Mahesh Chandra Nayak from S.D.M Law College was the resource person. He enlightened the students on the concept of human rights and its violation at various levels. He also expressed his opinion on the numerous challenges which become an impediment in the execution of basic human rights of the people.
