Workshop on “Life Saving Skills – II”

The II session of Workshop “Life Saving Skills” training programme to the NSS volunteers in association with Rotary Club, Mangalore city was organized on September 25, 2019. Dr.Ranjan, the President of Rotary Mangalore City and Dr.Sudhakar, Orthopedic surgeon from Venlock hospital were the resource persons.

The main purpose of this workshop was to create awareness on rendering timely first-aid to people in emergency cases. In this workshop basic life-saving skills such as first-aid in emergency situations; rescuing victims from electric shock, drowning; offering therapies to epileptic patients; CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) to heart patients and other critical aids were taught to 35 NSS Volunteers.
