The NSS Volunteers of Canara College, Mangaluru joined hands with Amala Bharatha Abhiyana, Mangaluru to clean the beaches and surroundings of Mangaluru to keep the city tidy and plastic free. The main purpose of these extension activities was to create awareness on Consciousness for cleaner Environment, awareness of marine pollution hazards and Conservation and maintenance of recreational beaches. On September 8, 2019 they cleaned the surroundings of Someshwara and Uchila Beach.
All together 111 NSS volunteers along with NSS Programme Officers took part in this activity.
