Mysore Division Scouts and Guides leaders training organized Basic training camp at District Training Centre ,Pilikula , Vamanjoor from July 21,2019 to July 27,2019. A total number of 45 Ranger leaders and Rover Leaders were benefitted from the course. The course was inaugurated by Sri .Prathim Kumar (ALT) (RSL). The Ranger leader trainer was Sister Rajitha( RL) and the Rover leader trainer was Sri. Daniel Sukumar(HWB) (RSL).
The training session consisted of both theory and practical sessions. The theory sessions included the Motto, Flag song, Certificate courses, uniforms, scarfs, ranger and rover mates, Ranger and Rover aspirants. The practical sessions included First Aid, Knots, Camp preparation, Direction calculation, Length and Breadth, Compass etc.
The training also included BP exercise, inspection session, duty change, sing song, games, camp fire, yoga, trekking, and visit to Pilikula Museum. The scouting guiding ideal was strictly met during the course. All faith prayer was conducted on the last day in an austere manner. At valedictory program the District Chief Commissioner wished the participants. The collection of articles from Ranger leader and Rovers leaders called “Chanakya” was published during the valedictory function. As a sign of gratitude Rover crew donated with the stove and Ranger crew donated utensils to the camp site.
