The Department of Botany organised a Seminar on Student Projects: A Platform to trigger curious minds was held in the college seminar hall on September 5, 2018. Dr. Siddaraju M.N, Assistant Professor, Department of Botany, University College, Mangalore, was the resource person. In his insightful session, he elaborated on selection of topics, information collection, conducting experiments, report writing, and gave information which would help the students perform better in their semester projects. He also spoke about career options in Basic Science and research forums.
Mr. Chiragsuvarna of III BZC introduced the Chief Guest and Ms. Madhushree, Head, Department of Botany, proposed the vote of thanks, and Dr. Sharath Chandra, faculty department of Botany, presented a memento to the Chief guest. Kumari Thejashwini of III BZC compered the programme. 70 students from II and III BZC benefited from this session.
