Our KBVM students visited Vishwa Konkani Kendra, Shakthinagar on 28 February 2018. The Kendra is named after Shri P. Dayananda Pai and Shri P SathishPai, the eminent philanthroprist. The centre consists of a Museum, a Library, Research centre, Hall of Fame, and a state of the Art Convention Facility consisting of a Seminar Hall, an Air conditioned Board Room and Auditorium. Mrs. GeethaKini, an active Konkani personality addressed the students regarding the Konkani Library which had excellent books on Konkani literature, folktales etc. The museum displayed various antiques which were commonly used in Konkani homes in the ages before. During our visit to Kendra, Director of Vishwa Konkani Kendra Sri Basthi Vaman Shenoy distributed books on Konkani stories to our students and addressed to the students about Konkani culture and heritage. The visit to Vishwa Konkani Kendra was truly an inspiring one. 40Students gained knowledge about Konkani Library, museum etc.
