Session on ‘Tulu Culture and Tradition’ for the members of Tulu Sangha By Prof. Tara Kumari.

Tulu Sangha organized a programme on Tulu culture and traditiononFebruary 28, 2018.  Prof. Tara Kumari, Convenor, Literary association, Canara College, Mangaluru was the resource person.

In her speech she threw spotlight on Tulu culture, tradition and said, “Tulu culture is at a crucial juncture and programmes like this are spreading the message of Tulu culture and tradition to the new generation. This programme is an attempt to keep the culture alive and pass it to the new generation.”

She spoke and enlightened the students on glory of Tulunadu and she also shed light on the richness of the language, tradition, culture and ethnicity, and spoke at length on food habits, preparation, ingredients of Tuluva food.  She lamented over erosion of Tuluva tradition, culture and food habits and said people are being attracted towards globalization. She shared her knowledge and urged students to keep the language and culture alive. 35 students of Tulu Sangha took benefit of this of this programme. Staff convenors of Tulu Sangha Prof. Smitha M. and Prof. Savitha were also present.
