Kannada Department andLiterary Association organized Poster Writing workshop on February 07, 2018 at College Seminar Hall. Mr.Dinesh Holla ,renowned artist and environmental crusader was the resource person.
In his insightful session he displayed many posters and sketches made by him and said”Posters are generally made to spread to social message among the general public about some event of common interest. They are part notices and part advertisements. Like notices they have no fixed style or format and are artistic and eye catching like advertisements. They do not follow strict grammatical pattern. There is a lot of emphasis on visual appeal. Agood poster has a catchy title, relevant slogans or small verses and sometimes a visual appropriate theme. Posters also make quick, immediate visual impressions on potencialcostomers . Posters are more affordable than some other advertising methods, especially adds placed in newspapers and magazines.”
Mrs, Vani U. S Head of the Department of Kannada ,Mrs.Thara Kumari, Convener of Literary Association, Co-Conveners Mrs.Sujatha Nayak,Mrs.Smitha Shetty,Mr.Pramod Kumar ,Dr.Shanthala were present at the program. 110 students participated in this program.
