Debate on “Mercy Killings”

The students of Human Rights has divided into two Groups .One is justified their arguements in favour to mercy killing in a situation where a person cannot able to lead the life.Hence, mercy killing is inevitable for them.Another group of students against the mercy killing because, RIGHT TO LIFE isthe most important personal liberty provided to citizen of the state by constitution without any distinction or discrimination .It is the duty of the government to protect the life of everyone.so,mercy killing is gross violation of Human Rights.Ms..AkshathaShetty, moderator of the programme concluded the session with remarks. Thirty students of the cell have taken part in the debate competition.

This program helped improve the general knowledge of students community and created awareness on Right to life of every individual.
