An awareness programme on road safety and traffic rules was organised on August 22, 2016. In this programme the NSS volunteers were educated about road safety and importance of using helmets. The programme was organised in association with rotary club, Mangalore and department of traffic police.
The programme was inaugurated by lighting the lamp. In the inaugural address the traffic inspector called the students to follow traffic rules and wear helmet while riding. He narrated the incidences of accidents for not obeying the traffic rules and he cautioned the students about the preciousness of life.The second session our volunteers were shown various videos on how carelessness on road can cost us our life. 90 NSS volunteers participated in this programme.
