No individual can work alone. Human beings, unlike machines, cannot work without sharing with one another. Teaching and non-teaching staff are the two vital workhorses of any academic institution. It is therefore very important for them to perform their duties responsibly to facilitate the teaching staff and the institution to carry out it functioning smoothly. They will have to work in close synchronization with each other to make the institution grow and prosper.
In this view, the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of the College organized a one day Workshop on “Managing Good Interpersonal Relationship” for Non-Teaching Staff on Saturday, July 09, 2016 at 9:30 AM, in the College Seminar Hall. Mrs. Anila Kamath, Asst. Professor and Trainer was the key Resource Person.
Through hands-on session, she emphasized on the role of non-teaching staff in institution building and thereby develop themselves as the valuable assets of the institution. Developing positive mindset towards job, effective and healthy communication, friendly rapport with colleagues, able leadership and beyond are the keys to success.
Principal Dr. K. V. Malini in her address said – “Good interpersonal relationship at work serve a critical role in the maintenance and development of trust and positive feelings. Further, with the right blend of interpersonal relationships, employees can significantly contribute to being more productive than they would be if they worked alone because of the synergy that comes with the spirit of teamwork.”
Vice Principal and IQAC Coordinator Dr. Manohar S. Joishi Kumble delivered the welcome address. Mrs. Premalatha V., proposed the vote of thanks.
The workshop was successful in igniting the spirit of team work and inculcating the right blend of interpersonal relationships amongst the non-teaching staff participants. It strived to achieve the core values of inculcating value system and eliciting quest for excellence.
