“Innovations in Teaching – Learning Samskrit”

One day seminar, sponsored by ONGC-CSR was conducted by the Sanskrit Department of Canara College on  March 04, 2016. Program organizer and HOD of Sanskrit department Dr. Shantala succeed in conducting the same in Sanskrit medium. Since all the sessions were delivered in Sanskrit only “This happened first time in the history of renowned college”, quoted CA, S.S.Kamath, the honorable president of Canara High School Association. “Innovations in Teaching and Learning Sanskrit”, was the title of the seminar.

The program was conducted in collaboration of Sanskrit Promotion Foundation, Delhi. Dr. Vishwasa told importance and significance of such programs related to Samskrit. The director Dr. Chand Kiran Saluja delivered the key note address and also suggested some innovations in teaching by past experience, practical and P.P.Ts made by Sanskrit Promotion Foundation, Dehli. Dr. Lakshminarayan Bhat (Mangluru University College), Dr. Hariprasad (Rashtriya Sanskrit Samsthan, Sringeri), Dr. Vishwasa (Samskrit Bharathi Mangaluru) Dr. Shridhar Bhat (SDM College, Ujire) also shared their views on teaching innovations. Many Sanskrit teachers of Mangaluru, Samskrit Bharati volunteers and students all together more than 60 people attended the program and appreciated the effort.
