To understand text and context of the novel Chemmen,A guest lecture was conducted on October 1, 2015 by the English Association and English Department on ‘Chemmen’, a classic novel by T.S Pillai. Dr. Ammalu Kutty, Associate Prof. of University College, Mangaluru was the guest speaker. Dr. Bhuvana Ramachandran, introduced the guest. Kavyashree from II B Sc welcomed the gathering. Apoorva from II Bsc proposed the vote of thanks. Aparna Vishwanathan compered the programme. 110 students were benefited; they gained more insights into the novel and also guidelines for the preparation of their semester examination
