As per the notification from the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell & AICTE encouraging the celebration of National Technology Day on any day from May 12 to 16, 2025 (as May 11 fell on a Sunday), Canara College celebrated this significant day on May 16, 2025.
To commemorate & celebrate National Technology Day 2025, the Institution’s Innovation Council organized a dual initiative comprising an awareness session and student engagement activity. The day began with a brief announcement over the Public Address System by Ms. Thanvi Poojary, a I BCA student, who highlighted the significance of the occasion, India’s scientific achievements, and the theme of the year, while urging students and staff to embrace technology responsibly.
In continuation of the celebration, students were encouraged to participate in the Yantra Quest – National Technology Day Quiz 2025, an initiative by the Government of India in collaboration with the Technology Development Board. The quiz aimed to enhance awareness of India’s innovations, and students were instructed to download their participation certificates and submit them through their Class Representatives & Academic Class Mentors for institutional documentation. Mrs. Prathima V. Baliga, Member, II C, guided and facilitated the programme. Altogether 1200 students participated in the programme.
