“Report on session on “Life Skills”

The primary aim of the debate competition is to enhance scientific awareness, promote critical thinking, and encourage students to express their views on various scientific topics and developments. The competition served as a platform for students to showcase their knowledge, analytical thinking, and communication skills. The participants displayed remarkable enthusiasm, confidence, and well-researched arguments, making the debate both informative and engaging.
The Science Association organized a debate competition on the topic “General Science” on April 23, 2025, exclusively for Science association members. A total of 16 students participated in the competition, forming 6 groups. Each team presented arguments on different aspects of general science, including environmental issues, space exploration, recent scientific advancements, health and medicine, climate change, and the role of technology in society.
The event was efficiently conducted under the guidance and supervision of the Science Association staff conveners, who were responsible for the planning and smooth execution of the program.
After a series of lively and intellectually stimulating sessions, the following students were declared winners for their outstanding performance:
Janisha – III B.Sc
Manasvi – I B.Sc
Nidhi – I B.Sc
The winners were praised for their clarity, logical reasoning, and effective articulation. The competition concluded with a note of appreciation from the faculty and organizers, highlighting the importance of such events in nurturing scientific curiosity and confidence among students.The debate competition was a resounding success, fulfilling its objectives of fostering a spirit of inquiry and encouraging meaningful discussion on scientific topics.
