The Tulu Sangha of Canara College organized “Tudar Parba 2025 – Gududeepa Pantha” on 25th October 2025 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in Room No. 09.
A total of 8 teams enthusiastically participated in the Gududeepa (traditional lantern) making competition. The participants designed eco-friendly Gududeepas on the spot using traditional and sustainable materials. Pre-made lamps were not permitted, motivating students to exhibit originality, teamwork, and creativity.
The event was judged by Mrs. Swathi Nayak, Head, Department of M.Com, and Mr. Karthik, Lecturer, Department of BCA. Their valuable presence and fair evaluation encouraged the participants and enhanced the quality of the event.
The program was well-coordinated by Mrs. Vani U.S. and Ms. Maneesha D, Conveners of the Tulu Sangha, who ensured smooth organization and active student involvement.A total of 21 students participated in this activity.The competition beautifully reflected the spirit of Deepavali and the essence of Tulunadu culture through artistic expression and festive enthusiasm.
