A Parent-Teacher Meeting for the Second Year B. Com students was held on October 8, 2025, at 3:30 p.m. in the Smt. Ratna S. Shenoy Memorial Seminar Hall. The session commenced with a warm welcome address by Mrs. Dejamma A., Head of the Department of Commerce, followed by an introduction of the faculty members. In her address, Mrs. Dejamma emphasized the importance of regular attendance, punctuality, adherence to college rules and dress code, and active involvement in co-curricular activities.
Parents were allowed to share their views, suggestions, and feedback on both academic and administrative aspects of the college. The meeting then continued in three separate sessions, each coordinated by the respective Academic Class Mentors. The main objective of the gathering was to strengthen the connection between parents, students, and teachers, enabling a meaningful discussion on students’ academic performance, conduct, and overall development. Teachers also provided individual feedback highlighting the students’ strengths and areas for improvement. Parents were encouraged to keep a close check on their ward’s attendance and engagement in college activities.
The Parent-Teacher Meeting proved to be a fruitful and interactive session, successfully fulfilling its objectives of improving communication, recognizing areas that need attention, and promoting greater parental involvement. A total of 163 parents, along with their wards, actively participated in the meeting.
