Konkani Bhasha Vidyarthi Mandal (KBVM) organised a session on “Proverbs In Konkani “ on September 24, 2025, in Lecture Hall No. 06 at 3:30 P.M..The Resource Person of the session was Mrs Swathi Nayak, HOD, Centre for PG Studies in Commerce. This session aims to enhance the cultural and linguistic understanding of students by exploring the traditional wisdom preserved in the Konkani language. Proverbs are short, meaningful sayings that reflect everyday experiences, morals, and values of society. Through this session, students will learn the deeper meanings behind commonly used Konkani proverbs. An activity was conducted in order to make the students explain various proverbs so that they can make use of them in their day-to-day life. Through this activity, participants explored different Konkani proverbs and understood their relevance in contemporary situations. This session has not only enriched vocabulary and communication skills but also strengthened cultural awareness and appreciation for regional heritage. By connecting the wisdom of the past with present-day contexts, the session will encourage students to apply these learning’s in practical and creative ways. Altogether, this activity further aims at preserving and promoting Konkani culture while making learning engaging and practical for students. A total of 16 students have actively participated in the session.
