The Human Rights Cell of our college has organized a seminar on “Human Rights, Environment, and Sustainable Development Goals” on 29th August, 2025, in the MCom Lecture Hall. The seminar featured Prof. Gayathri B.K., HOD in the Department of Political Science at St. Agnes (Autonomous) College, Mangalore, as the resource person. Prof. Gayathri B.K. delivered an enlightening lecture on the human rights, the environment and sustainable development goals. She highlighted the concern over sustainable development and pointed out that a prosperous society depends on a healthy environment to provide food and resources, safe drinking water, and cleanliness. A total of 95 students of B.Sc. and B.BA have participated in the seminar.
Prof. Gayathri B.K also emphasized the role of civil society in addressing issues such as environmental degradation, exploitation of resources, and technologically oriented development to meet the demands of future generations.

3. Enriched the knowledge of students about the environment and sustainable development goals. 4. The seminar fulfills the core values, such as contributing to national development and inculcating a value system among the students.
