The Centre for Post Graduate Studies in Computer Applications (MCA) organized a technical session on the application of AI & ML concepts in Image Processing on July 28, 2025, at 3:30 PM in Lecture Hall 10. The resource person for the session was Mr. Chethan J. Rao, a final-year MCA student of our institution.
In his session, Mr. Chethan primarily focused on guiding students in identifying suitable project domains by aligning their interests with emerging technologies. He emphasized a thorough understanding of the technical foundations of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML), particularly in the domain of Image Processing. The session also highlighted various practical tools and frameworks commonly used in the field to support effective project development.
Mr. Chethan showcased his own project from the third semester, which involved detecting eye color using image processing techniques. He further elaborated on the use of platforms such as GitHub and Kaggle for sourcing datasets and collaborating on projects.
The session proved to be both informative and inspiring, providing students with valuable insights and clarity on domain selection for their mini projects in the third semester.
A total of 45 students attended the session.The event received highly positive feedback from the participants.
