The Fine Arts Association of Canara College, Mangaluru, organized an extension activity at Olavina Halli, an old-age home located on K.C. Road, Talapady, on 21st May 2025. As part of the college’s initiative to instill social values and community spirit in students, this visit aimed to foster interaction and emotional bonding with the elderly residents.
A group of 8 students, accompanied by the four staff convenors of the Fine Arts Association, participated in the visit. The students engaged the residents through cultural performances, interactive games, and meaningful conversations. The warm interaction created an atmosphere of joy and mutual respect.
Bananas were distributed to all the residents as a small gesture of love and care. The visit brought smiles to many faces and reminded us of the power of simple acts of kindness.
