The Nature Club and Science Association organised a talk on “Terrace and Kitchen Gardening” on May 08, 2025 in the college Seminar Hall. Mrs. Saroja Prakash, Assistant Professor & Agriculturalist was the Resource Person. She explained how terrace can be used for gardening. She also explained how it can be used for vegetable cultivation, so that people can have their own vegetables during the days of rising prices. She also educated the members on required soil mixture and also use of kitchen waste as manure. Students raised many questions about the various methods of growing vegetables and its problems.
Ms. Manasvi of III B.Sc welcomed the guest and the gathering. Ms. Khushi M. S. of II B.Sc proposed the vote of thanks.
Total number of 49 students participated in the program. Students gained lot of information from the resource person about, how to make best use of the space available in the backyard to make garden and grow flowers and vegetables.
