The Anti-Ragging Cell of our college organized an Awareness Campaign on Senior Junior Mentorship: Positive Influence for the first, second and final year students on March 18, 2025 by Mr. Arjun Prakash, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Commerce, St. Aloysius (Deemed to be University), Mangaluru on March 18, 2025. He briefed the students about ragging, the harmful effects of ragging and legal consequences and implementing measures to prevent ragging incidents in the educational institution. He also stressed about establishing a clear and accessible mechanisms for reporting ragging incidents anonymously, promoting an inclusive and respectful campus culture, encouraging activities that build good friendship and mutual respect among the students.
He also said to organise activities and events that promote bonding between seniors and juniors. Students were informed to consult the conveners of the Anti-Ragging Cell or their Academic Mentors in case of emergency. Mrs. Usha Nayak, Convenor of Anti-Ragging Cell informed that every senior student should treat their juniors with respect and dignity. A total of 102 students benefited in this awareness campaign.Dr. Kalpana Prabhu J, Vice Principal, was present. Ms. Sakshi, III B.Com ‘B’ student welcomed the gathering and Ms. Rakshitha III B.Com ‘B’ student rendered the vote of thanks. This awareness programme contributed to National Development and inculcated a value system among the students.
