The session was conducted by Mrs. Shailaja Kumari T. G., Assistant Professor, PG Studies in Computer Applications on March 12, 2015 at 3.30 PM in Lecturer Hall 29. She introduced the participants to the concept of network simulation, emphasizing its importance in analyzing data movement within computer networks. Students were briefed on the advantages, disadvantages, and practical applications of network simulation, along with demonstrations of real-time use cases.
A major highlight of the session was the practical exposure, where participants gained hands-on experience using simulation tools. The interactive format helped deepen students’ understanding of how simulations aid in network research and performance evaluation. The session was well-received, with active engagement from the attendees, and effectively bridged theoretical concepts with practical applications.
The event was well-coordinated and successfully executed with the efforts of the student organizing team. The session began with a prayer by Nishmitha, followed by a welcome speech by Prathiksha.
