The resource person for the session was Mr. Dhananjay, a software developer and startup entrepreneur from Bangalore. He has contributed to multiple projects, including the development of a portfolio website for IISc and a Patient Information Center. He also worked as a developer at Efeeder, Bangalore.
Currently, his team is engaged in the development of a comprehensive ERP software for educational institutions, aiming to enhance administrative efficiency and streamline operations.
During his session, he discussed several key aspects of startup development, including:
- Selecting Real-World Problems – Identifying practical issues that can be addressed through technology-driven solutions.
- Sustainable Software Choices – Understanding which software frameworks and technologies remain viable in the long run.
- Legal Approval Process – Navigating regulatory requirements and obtaining necessary approvals for startup projects.
- Challenges in Development & Marketing – Overcoming obstacles in product creation, promotion, and reaching target users effectively.
- Cybersecurity & Hacking Risks – Assessing potential security vulnerabilities and implementing preventive measures to safeguard digital assets.
Additionally, he demonstrated his ERP project, which is currently under development, showcasing its functionalities and providing insights into the development process. 81 students from First and second year M.C.A. have participated in this session.
