An interactive session on “Dreams Ignited “was organised by the Women Empowerment Cell of Canara College, Mangalore, on February 31, 2025. The resource persons, Ms.Anjana Baliga and Ms.Nivetha Pai of “CANARIZE-A student-led business initiative” Centre for PG Studies in Commerce, Canara College, Mangaluru, discussed that women’s empowerment through entrepreneurship can happen when women have the resources, skills and staff to support and manage business. This can help women gain confidence and economic independence. Their insightful talk ignited the entrepreneurial spirit within our students, motivating them to pursue their dreams. It also promoted a culture of respect and equality for the female gender.
All the queries of the students were answered through an interactive session. The session was well received by the students.21 students benefited from this programme. The session was coordinated by Mrs.Vinoda V Nayak, the convener of the Cell.
