The Centre for Postgraduate Studies in Computer Applications (M.C.A) organized a session on “Startup Incubation – Mentorship Session.” on February 22, 2025. The resource person for the event was Mr. Sushanth, an alumnus of our college. He completed his B.Sc. in Computer Science in the academic year 2021-22 and pursued his M.Sc. in Computer Science at Mangalore University, graduating in 2024.
Currently, he is working as a software engineer at Tetherfi IT Industry and has contributed to ILSUM 2024. His areas of interest include Machine Learning and Android-based projects, and he also undertakes freelancing projects.
In her address, Dr. Premalatha V., Principal, emphasized that there is immense support for the development of startups and encouraged students to promote new technologies for the benefit of society.
During his session, Mr. Sushanth provided valuable insights into the startup journey, explaining how developers transition from an initial idea to a successful launch through the following steps:
- Identifying Problems & Ideas
- Idea Validation
- Planning & Prototyping
- Overcoming the Confused State
- Building the MVP (Minimum Viable Product)
- Overcoming Marketing Challenges & Proceeding to Growth
He illustrated these concepts with real-life examples, making the session interactive and engaging.
