An add-on course MS Office Essentials offered by the Centre for Postgraduate Studies in Commerce to the M.Com students was inaugurated on November 8, 2024. Mrs. Jayabharathi K.P., Head of the Department of MCA inaugurated the programme and wished the students, motivating them as mastery over MS Office tools not only enhances efficiency but also provides a competitive edge in their career. With the rise of digital transformation across industries, these skills are no longer optional but essential. Mrs. Swathi Nayak, PG Coordinator emphasized that data management, financial analysis, and effective presentation skills are crucial in commerce-related careers, and mastering MS Office enhances efficiency, accuracy, and decision-making abilities.
The programme was designed to help students develop skills that will help them succeed in their technical and professional lives. The course helps students improve their office automation skills, build their confidence, and develop themselves for the corporate world.A total of 30 students enrolled for this course. The resource person was Mrs. Megha, faculty, Centre for PG Studies in Commerce.
The valedictory of the course was held on January 30, 2025 and Dr. Premalatha V., principal of the college, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. In her inspiring address, she highlighted the importance of continuous learning and growth and emphasized that this course serves as a strong foundation, a steppingstone toward greater expertise by retaining the knowledge gained, building upon it, and striving for excellence in their respective fields. The valedictory ceremony of the Add-On Course on MS Office Essentials marked the successful culmination of a transformative program. The certificate of completion of the course was given to 25 students.
