The Centre for Post Graduation Studies in Commerce organized a comprehensive Boot Camp for M.Com students on December 27 and 28, 2024, at the scenic location of Bhagmandal, Madikeri. The two-day event aimed to holistically develop students by focusing on key skills such as communication, leadership, time management, and teamwork. The boot camp activities, thoughtfully designed and conducted by the M.Com faculty members, provided students with an interactive and engaging learning experience. Participants were involved in various exercises and games that tested and enhanced their ability to work efficiently in teams, lead initiatives, and manage time effectively.
Apart from the skill-building activities, the boot camp included educational and recreational visits to prominent local attractions. Students explored the serene Talakaveri, revered as the origin of the river Kaveri, and spent time amidst nature at Sri Bhuvanendra Vriksha Vatika. They also visited Bhagmandal Temple, an important pilgrimage site, and enjoyed an adventurous experience at Dubare Elephant Camp. The trip to the Golden Temple of Madikeri provided cultural enrichment, adding a spiritual dimension to the camp. The boot camp’s success was attributed to the guidance of Sri CA Jagannath Kamath (Correspondent), Dr. Premalatha V. (Principal), and Dr. Deepti Nayak (Administrator). The event was efficiently coordinated by Mrs. Swathi Nayak, PG Coordinator of the M.Com Department, and student coordinator Ms. Kanchana. Forty-one students participated, embracing the core values of fostering global competencies, striving for human excellence, and maintaining a constant quest for excellence.
