The Centre for PG Studies in Commerce organized the inaugural session of the Business Research Methodology Series 1.0 for M.Com students. The event took place on December 06, 2024, at 10:00 AM, with Dr. Suresh Pojary as the chief guest and resource person.
Dr. Suresh Pojary delivered a comprehensive explanation of the concept of research and its steps. He provided valuable insights to students on selecting research topics for their project work and emphasized the additional reputation and opportunities that pursuing a Ph.D. can bring.
Mrs. Swathi Nayak, the PG coordinator, briefed the students about the series and encouraged them to maintain a child’s curiosity for learning and to delve deeper into subjects.
Dr. Deepti Nayak, the administrator, presided over the function. In her presidential remarks, she stressed the importance of continuing the research culture beyond the M.Com course, highlighting that actual learning intensifies during Ph.D. studies. Mrs. Anasuya Bhagvath, the IQAC coordinator, was also present at the event.
A total of 57 students attended the program. The session aimed to foster core values such as fostering global competencies, human excellence among students, and eliciting a quest for excellence as a permanent commitment.
The inaugural session of the Business Research Methodology Series 1.0 was a resounding success. It set a strong foundation for future sessions, inspiring M.Com students to pursue research with enthusiasm and dedication. The series promises to be a valuable addition to the educational experience, contributing significantly to the students’ academic and professional growth.
The event was coordinated by Mrs. Swathi Nayak, PG Coordinator, along with Ms. Sushmitha Rao, a final-year M.Com student, who served as the student in charge.
