The Anti-Ragging Cell of our college trained all the first year students how to fill an online Anti- Ragging Affidavit. As per the directions of UGC/MHRD, online undertaking was done by First year students by filling up the compliance at www.antiragging.in .in in order to curb the menace of ragging in higher educational institutions. This training ensured that both students and their parents understand the seriousness of ragging and commit to complying with anti-ragging regulations.
Anti- Ragging Cell Convenor, Mrs. Usha Nayak and Member Secretary Mrs. Shailaja Kumari T. G. guided first year students and their parents on October 28, 2024, February 14, 2025, February 19, 2025, March 12 & 13, 2025. Students submitted hard copies of the undertaking forms signed by themselves and their parents. Additionally, Academic Mentors entered the Reference ID’ in the proforma provided by the Anti-Ragging Cell and submitted the same to the convenor of Anti-Ragging Cell. A total of 408 students benefited in this filling up the compliance at www.antiragging.in. This training programme contributed to National Development and inculcated a value system among the students.
The keynote lecture by Sri Shreenivas P. M. was highly informative and engaging. He presented a balanced view on the benefits and pitfalls of social media. He emphasized how social media, when used wisely, can be a powerful tool for personal and professional development. However, he also cautioned against issues like cyber bullying, misinformation, addiction, and privacy concerns.
The programme was well received by the 100 NSS Volunteers and other attendees, and the interactive session that followed helped clarify doubts and foster discussion on relevant issues. The NSS Programme Officers Mrs. M. Keerthana Bhat and Mrs. Sushama C. coordinated the programme and also expressed their gratitude to the Lions and Leo Club for their collaboration and support in making the event successful. This activity strived to contribute to national development and inculcate a value system among students.
